It's hard enough to be one person in the world. Being in a partnership and sharing your life with someone means also sharing your baggage. I provide my clients with a non-judgmental space where they can begin to recognize how their prior relationships and experiences inform who they are today, including how they engage in their relationship with their partner. We work to develop a greater understanding of each other and to have more compassion for each other. We also consider the communication styles that each partner has adopted, and if they work in this relationship. If they don't, I help my clients develop more effective communication techniques. Ultimately, my hope is to help couples reconnect and be intentional about how they engage with one another.
