When a couple asks "do you think this relationship can be saved?", my answer is: "Only if both people want it to be." This has proved true over the years as I have worked with married and unmarried couples, people living in different cities or states, couples who committed after barely knowing one another because children were involved, same sex couples or couples seeking in for pre-marital counseling.
