Lexi Chatara Middleton, LPC Licensed Professional Counselor | Claimed
About
Being in relationship with another person or persons is extremely challenging and at times our relationships need support, attention, and tending to. Using techniques from Emotionally Focused Therapy, Sex Therapy, Somatic Psychotherapy, etc, and in the role of a witness and a guide, I walk alongside couples as you tell your story, identify areas of challenge, growth, and healing, and work towards deeper intimacy and connection. I approach couples work just as I do individual therapy, taking in the big picture and viewing a couple from a whole-person and systems perspective. By this I mean helping couples to identify where they are struggling in body, mind, and spirit within the relationship itself and what past contexts, identities, and relationships they are bringing into their current one. I support couples in constructing their own agreements and rules for their sessions so that effective and safe communication can occur. I offer a space for couples of all types and configurations, including same sex and non-monogamous couples, to be witnessed and supported non-judgmentally. To inquire about whether or not I would be a good fit for you and your partner(s) please contact me.
