Lee Amaris Padden
About
I believe that slowing down and not just listening to your partner, but also understanding where they are coming from, is critical to a successful relationship. Whether you are dating, committed, married, welcoming a new child, becoming empty nesters, separated or considering divorce, learning critical communication skills will help you in all stages of your relationships - both personal and professional. I utilize a foundation of mindfulness to faciliate open conversations and deepen your understanding of both your own and your partner's needs in the relationship.
There are also crisis points in any relationship that may benefit from professional guidance, and that's where I come in. Whether there are issues related to infidelity, illness, jobs, blended families, retirement, change in roles, etc., I provide a safe, non-judgmental environment to work through what comes next. I also offer a formal six week coparenting program tailored to your specific needs.
If you are in agreement that ending your relationship is the best way forward, couples counseling can help you gracefully let go and honor the love and time that you committed to one another. When there are kids involved, it's even more important that you learn how to peacefully move forward, separate but together. Sometimes all it takes is a neutral third party to help you identify how to transition your relationship to a new paradigm.
