Ken Howard, MSW, LCSW has over 29 years of experience providing couples counseling, and is an AASECT Certified Sex Thearpist, Certfied Psychiatric Social Worker, and Adjunct Associate Professor at the USC Suzanne Dworak-Peck School of Social Work, where he teaches a course for graduate MSW students in Couples Therapy, as well as Evidence-Based Psychotherapy Practice and LGBT Psycho-Psycho-Political Issues. He specializes in same-sex couples, couples of mixed sexual orientations, and others within the LGBT+ community. He is the founder of GayTherapyLA.com, and the author of the books "Self-Empowerment: Have the Life You Want!" and "Positive Outlook: Collected Essays for Living Successfully with HIV Today." He is the host of the former "Have the Life You Want!" podcast, and the current "Gay Therapy LA with Ken Howard, LCSW, CST" podcast, heard in over 40 countries weekly and over 70,000 downloads worldwide. He has mentored dozens of associate clinical social workers and associate marriage and family therapists for licensure in California. He has been married since 2008 and together with his husband since 2002. He lives in West Hollywood and provides both in-person sessions near Beverly Center and webcam sessions for relationship coaching all over the United States and the world.
