Kellie Tomlin is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker dedicated to the preservation of healthy family functioning even amidst separation and divorce. She brings empathy, compassion, fairness, and impartiality to her practice.
Mrs. Tomlin holds a Masters Degree in Social Work from NMSU and is a certified arbitrator. Mrs. Tomlin is trained in Nurtured Heart Approach Parenting and is a certified Circle of Security Parenting class facilitator. Her background also includes training in interpersonal neurobiology, trauma, and motivational interviewing. Mrs. Tomlin has professional experience in the fields of mental health therapy, social/emotional education, and child welfare. In addition to her work as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for children in the foster system, she spent years working within Child Protective Services helping families navigate and overcome extreme obstacles. She has worked with families of all economic backgrounds and family dynamics.
Mrs. Tomlin has particular sensitivity and insight into how adversarial confrontation can make situations even more stressful for families. She can understand and empathize with the feelings of frustration, financial hardship, and loss of situational control that many parents feel during a divorce. Mrs. Tomlin's goal is to help alleviate friction and empower parents to make the best decisions for their children.
