I believe that therapy is a journey a therapist takes with their clients to discover what keeps them from being happy in their lives. I beleive in working with the client to "unstuff" their supprressed feelings, and to activate thier abilty to choose their behavior and not live in a reactive mode. The deeper the injury, the deeper the stuffed feelings. I believe that discovering the root of the problem is beneficial in helping the individuals understand their choice of behaviors...what got them to this point in their journey. I believe that the diagnosis of an individual, or family is self-defeating and often self-fulfilling. I beleive that

Emotional suppression if the root cause of problems for the individual and the family and is a result of parental attempt to control their child behavior by regulating their feelings.Child the learn to stuff feeling that are not acceptable to their parents and this results in estrangement from self. Suppression of feelings is the root cause of relational problems throughout life.

Emotional health is a result of being in touch with ones feelings.
