Karen Geren received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Purdue University and her Master of Social Work degree in Mental Health and Management from Washington University. She is currently licensed as a Clinical Social Worker by the state of Missouri. Karen has over twenty years of experience treating adults and adolescents with serious and persistent mental illness as well as specialized experience treating various psychological issues. Karen Geren has practiced in a range of mental health facilities including: Inpatient unit with Wabash Valley Psychiatric Hospital, partial hospital and case management with Lafayette Clubhouse, intensive outpatient and transition programs for eating disorders with McCallum Place, and individual therapy with Counseling Works. These years of experience have honed her ability to effectively treat a diverse assortment of issues such as anxiety, depression, low self esteem, relationship issues, eating disorders, self injury, trauma, life changes, and addictions.
