Heather James LPCC, LCADC is trained and qualified to provide mental health and addiction services to adolescents and adults. She moved from Milwaukee, WI to attend Georgetown College and graduated in 2011 with a degree in Psychology and Philosophy. She continued her education at Eastern Kentucky University and earned two Masters degrees in Mental Health Counseling and School Counseling. Heather has experience managing and working in multiple settings such as inpatient rehabilitation, partial hospitalizations, schools, and various outpatient style treatment. Heather’s experience in these settings has allowed her to work with an array of individuals, couples, and families from adolescence to adults.
Heather works with clients 15 and older presenting with various mental health concerns, such as anxiety, mood, substance abuse, stress induced disorders, trauma, and relationship conflict. Heather provides individual, marriage, and family counseling to improve functionality of the individual, family, and partner needs. Heather utilizes evidence-based practices and therapeutic techniques, such as reality therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and motivational interviewing, to improve her clients’ ability to handle their daily life as it is in the moment and make progress on achieving the life they want. Heather has experience in the equine industry and enjoys riding her horses in her free time and spending time with her family and Jack Russell Buddy Holly.
