For 20-years, I've been helping couples avoid separation and grow secure, lasting connection with attachment-based therapy. I am an ICEEFT Certified EFT Therapist and Supervisor for couples, families and indviduals. EFT is Emotionally Focused Therapy: a well-researched, time-limited, attachment-based method that is highly effective. EFT has allowed me to help couples who have trusted themselves to me find re-connection, avoid divorce, and tap back into the hopefulness that brought them together in the first place. EFT is a non-judgmental, focused and active approach to helping couples get out of distress on back on track.
The attachment-theory base of the work is particularly important. An attachment perspective honors the reality that we literally don't survive when we can't count on the most important people in our lives. Also, that we experience distress when we can't connect with these same people. The people I work with are wondering where the closeness and ease have gone, or are trying to repair after trust has been broken.
