For couples, there's always more than one side to every story. My job is to help you, or you and your partner, work through these and get to rebuilding a stronger, more resilient, trustworthy, authentic, passionate and exciting life again.

I know how difficult it may seem for people to reach out, especially for couples.
As a man, I was always scared to go to a couples' counselor because I was sure I was going to be the "bad guy" and was defensive. It's not like that, trust me. We'll find a time that works for you, weekday evenings and weekend mornings, televideo or in-office visits. I've been there myself; I get it. I know the pain. I'm an open book, so anything you want to know, just ask. I'm not your typical, "How does that make you feel?" therapist.
Some even say I'm refreshingly non-traditional.

Most common questions new clients asked Bruce:
- Are you married? "Enthusiastically married with grown children and grandchildren."
- What does your wife do? "She's a psychiatric nurse and an awesome relationship coach."
- Have you ever had relationship problems? "Of course! Hasn't everyone? If there's a way to screw up, I've probably done it at one point or another. It takes a lot of work, but it's worth it to get to an amazing strong and thriving relationship"
- Are you religious? "Most people would not describe me as religious, but pretty spiritual."
- Have you ever been in counseling? "Yep, so I know that it can be scary and awkward when you first go. Especially as a couple. I was always thinking the lady counselor was going to gang up on me with my partner!"
- Dogs or Cats? "Dogs. I'm a dog person."
- Military? "I was Surface Warfare Officer in the Navy for a while."
- What do you do for fun? "Fish, shooting sports, travel... anywhere with sand and saltwater, going to events and community activities, but I avoid politics."
- I see you run some support groups for queer people. What's that about? "Well, I'm passionate about my community. I proudly identify as a Bisexual man in an enthusiastically monogamous relationship, but that doesn't erase that part of my identify. I'm keenly aware of all the harmful myths and misconceptions about Bi+ folks and the hurt and damage that it causes. I want to do what I can to change that, one day at a time. Being seen as who I am, and authentic, is an important example I wish everyone could enjoy. "
