Aurilia's therapeutic approach is rooted in Christianity, CBT, Communication, and Conflict Resolution. As A African American Woman, I have counseled couples over my twenties years in the faith-based community to improve communication skills, reduce conflict resolution, decrease angry outbursts, and address unresolved issues. However, licensed in 2021, to expand my skills to work with pre-marital/ married couples, not in the faith-based community.
Couples are encouraged to reflect on themselves and identify where they can improve to meet their mate's needs. Couples will meet individually to address underlying issues. Couples are provided with evident base techniques to practice away from therapy. Couples leave Aurilia's Place with the expectation for change, wanting to work on the relationship, At Aurilia's Place For Wellness, couples will experience empathy, non-judgment, confidentiality, and feel like they have been heard.
