As a Cognitive Behavioral Therapist, I help clients understand how the mind interprets and reacts to situations, and then arm them with tools. With knowledge brings awareness, and awareness creates the opportunity for positive change.
I come from a cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) background and take a solution-focused approach with many issues, but may also call upon other therapy techniques to meet the client’s individual needs, strengths, and challenges. I have worked with many types of issues such as depression, anxiety, panic, codependency, and even the stress of aging parents.
I see therapy as a collaborative approach and strive to help clients in building skills, and increasing knowledge to use in everyday life. Many skills introduced in therapy are best practiced and strengthened outside the therapy office. I would be honored to work with you to develop a treatment plan to address your issues and improve your quality of life.
