About
Jaime has been working as a psychotherapist for 10+ years now. She works with individuals and couples in the areas of stress, anxiety, depression, emotional eating, communication and conflict resolution. In her work as an Emotion-focused therapist, she helps couples to understand their attachment styles. More specifically, how they have learned to soothe and comfort one another or not, and how the moves each of them make impact the other partner. The issue in couples work is not one partner or the other. The issue is the system they have built, and how they respond to one anothe during times of distress and vulnerability. The work is focused on understanding how the moves we make in our relationship make our partner feel disconnected, and what what they both need to feel loved, comforted and cherished. She has done her Master’s in Counselling and Organizational Psychology. She is a member of the Ontario Society for Psychotherapists (OSP). She is also a Fellow of Massey College, and an author in the Individual Journal of Psychology.
